TRIBUTE TO COMRADE NJOROGE WANGUTHI MEMBER OF RELEASE POLITICAL PRISONER (RPP)



 The Late Comrade  Njoroge Wanguthi , a Son of Mau Mau  and freedom fighter for second liberation  wasa a embodiment of democratic struggles in Kenya in the last three decade He was a Cultural and   political  Pillar of Release Political Prisoner(RPP) a grassroots political   organization that was established by  Mwakenya  revolutionary activist and Mothers of Political prisoners   in Freedom corner  to demand for the release of  Political Prisoners who were being detained by Moi Dictatorship  in early 1980s and 1990.
  The late Comrade Njoroge Wanguthi   who died  on June 6  2013 at Kenyatta National Hospital  while struggling with multiple stroke, that  accumulated for many years due to  torture in Nyayo house  and subsequent imprisonment   in Kamiti Prison for   7 years  from  1986 to  1990 where he was released  due to Pressure of Multi-party democracy movement and  the Mothers  who organized  protest  and  hunger strike at  freedom corner   a    struggle to bring a democratic state in Kenya for decades , that embodied comrade Njoroge Wanguthi life in struggle.
  After being released from Kamiti Njoroge Wanguthi joined release Political Prisoners Committee Where with his comrades the Late Karimi Nduthu Tirop arp Kitur  and other comrades worked hard to transform the  the movement to a formidable grassroots movement that was anchored on Mau Mau revolutionary heritage which today  the political ideological finger prints of RPP and other grassroots social  movement in Kenya.
Councllor Wanguthi as we Called him was also elected representative of the people of Nyathuna Ward from 1992-1997 with FORD-KENYA party in the first Kenya Multi-Party election in 1992...Njoroge Wanguthi his courage and Patriotism to join a party that was Lead by Jaramogi Odinga the father of Democratic struggle in Kenya  at  that time was hallmark of values  of  Patriotism and nationalist ideal in a country where  ethnic political mobilization was used to acquire political power in Central Province.

 Comrade Njoroge Wanguthi was frequent visitor to Jeevanjee Gardens the political base of Bunge La Mwananchi,(Peoples Parliament) to ground intellectual  debates and advance political education at the Park to help   nature new cadres for grassroots movements to continue with the struggle for Democratic change in Kenya, We Also visited together the Mouselum of other freedom fighters as  Bildad Kaggia in 2009 in Karatina, under his leadership and Mau Mau War Veterans in Kenol Branch in Muranga.
If there is comrade who never gives apology of his resistance to Imperialism and corrupt system was Njoroge Wanguthi.

Njoroge wanguthi …lived humble life his life and suffering..is truly redemptive his death is seeds of revolutionary heritage to the future generation. His life has been cut short by that suffering.
On  Saturday  15June 12, 2013 comrades and friends will  gather  at  Wanguthi  funeral  at Gathiga village  in Kikuyu Constituency, not to mourn but to  cerebrate the life in struggle of comrade Njoroge Wanguthi  and continue with the struggle as Comrade  inspired  under RPP and sing revolutionary songs of Mambo ni Yale Yale Ya ukoloni......
